Artist, teacher, self-published author and proud dog mama.

I have an on-off love affair with teaching. Currently I love what I do, despite the usual frustrations. I have reached the stage in my career where I am able to maintain a pretty even work life balance which means when I leave work, I leave work. Rarely do I have to bring stuff home with me. This makes for a much happier me. It also means I’m not looking for a change of career which is unusual.

Instead I am happy to indulge my interests such as running, writing, travel, literature and theatre, among others and this blog reflects all of those loves. I have written and self published one novel, am still working on editing book 2 and have already made a start to book 3! I also write short stories and am attempting to write two separate books based around dungeons and dragons campaigns. Having taken a short, extended hiatus from writing I intend to get back on top of it this year. Keep an eye on the fiction section for chapters of various works in progress.

Last year I ran a half marathon and promptly fell out of love with running. This year I am determined to rekindle my love and so far I’m managing. I may blog about this, I may not, who knows.

Expect, fictional ramblings, non fictional musings, pictures of the beautiful Norfolk coastline and more photos of my dog, an irreverent sense of humour, some moments of anguish and maybe even occasional words of guidance.
